Notes for Samuel Hodgkins:
SAMUEL2 HODGKINS settled in Gloucester, Mass., about 1684. He kept a ferry at Tyndall Cove, where he built a house. He was a shoemaker and cordwainer. He and his wife ANNA2 GEE (1660/1-1724) had Samuel, Hannah, John, Philip, William, Solomon, Jedediah, Patience, Abigail, Mercy, David, Anna, JONATHAN, and Experience. (See GEE-WILLIX family.) His second wife married in 1725 was Mary Stockbridge, widow of Samuel3 Stockbridge.
