According to him William Hodgkins I came to Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1632 from England, and from him "the Hancock County Hodgkins descended." William came "with his son, William Jr., born in England, 1622, and his daughter born 1624. William's sister Elizabeth, who came with him, married William Parmer of Scituate, in 1633; and later married John Wills of Bridgewater. Court records show that William Hodgkins I served on jury in Plymouth, March 16, 1636, and in Sept. 1638."
