1. Alt. Death: Alt. Death, 19 Jul 1690, Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts, U.S.A. 5 6 William married Sarah Holton(?)-[3197] [MRIN: 1153] in 1636 in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts, U.S.A..1 2 3 (Sarah Holton(?)-[3197] was born about 1609 in England 6 and died on 6 Sep 1675 2 6.)
Lt. William Clarke (Jr.?) and Sarah ? were the parents of Nathaniel Clark. William next married Sarah Slye-[3643] [MRIN: 1293], daughter of George Slye-[3725] and Unknown, on 15 Nov 1676 in Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts, U.S.A..4 5 (Sarah Slye-[3643] was born on 29 Oct 1615 in England 4 and died on 8 May 1688 in Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts, U.S.A. 4.)
He married twice. But there is some contention about this Sarah's heritage. Different sources say that she was the daughter of either George Slye or John Russell. Both are shown here. Dave Clark's narrative appears to show that this Sara Slye was married to a Thomas Cooper of Rehobeth, based on information in an unpublished manuscript of Edith M. Clark Nyman. "At present, all that is known of Sarah, is that she & William were admitted as Church members in Dorchester in 1636, resigned from that church to be admitted to the new church in Northampton, in 1666, that all of her children were born in Dorchester, and that she was a good and loving wife to William." [Dave Clark] William next married Sarah (Cooper) Russell-[3721] [MRIN: 1324], daughter of John Russell-[3722] and Unknown, on 15 Nov 1676 in Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts, U.S.A..5 (Sarah (Cooper) Russell-[3721] was born about 1620 in England 5 and died on 8 May 1688 in Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts, U.S.A. 5.)
He married twice. But there is some contention about this Sarah's heritage. Different sources say that she was the daughter of either George Slye or John Russell. Both are shown here. |
